Publication and Submission Guidelines:
The Libyan Journal for Media Research (LJMR) welcomes original scientific research and studies in the field of communication and media that have not been previously published. Additionally, it accepts scientific book reviews and abstracts of academic theses, subject to the following conditions:
1.Research papers, studies, and reviews must be submitted in sound, linguistically proofread Arabic. For Arabic submissions, the Simplified Arabic font must be used (size 12 for the body text, size 14 bold for headings). English submissions and abstracts must use Times New Roman (size 12 for the body text, size 14 for headings). Line spacing should be 1.5, and the total length of the research should not exceed 35 pages. Margins must be set to 3 cm (top and bottom) and 2.5 cm (left and right) on all pages. The research paper or report must be submitted in a separate file in both PDF and Word formats.
- Each submission must be accompanied by abstracts in both Arabic and English, including keywords. Each abstract should be provided in a separate file in both PDF and Word formats.
- The first page of each research paper must include: the researcher’s name, the title in both Arabic and English, the researcher’s affiliation, academic degree, and contact information (an academic email address is preferred).
4.The journal accepts three computer-printed hard copies of the research, along with an electronic copy on CD in PDF and Word formats. For those unable to reach the journal’s headquarters, electronic submission in the aforementioned formats is sufficient.
- Research sources must be documented using the Harvard style both in-text and in the reference list. Footnotes and citations within the text are indicated by sequential numbers, and the list of references should appear at the end of the research in sequential order, regardless of alphabetical arrangement.
- All submissions are subject to scientific peer review. Research papers that are not accepted for publication will not be returned to their authors.
- Researchers must adhere to standard methodological steps: the title (maximum 15 words) must appear on the first page. This is followed by the Introduction (including the research problem, objectives, and questions or hypotheses), Research Methodology, Population and Sample, Temporal and Spatial Scope, Data Collection Tools, Research Concepts and Terminology, Procedures and Applications, Literature Review, and Data Analysis and Interpretation (supported by statistical tables). The paper concludes with General Results and Recommendations, followed by the reference list arranged according to their sequence of appearance in the text.
