Cognitive Integration in the Study of Contemporary Environmental Problems and Achieving Sustainable Development

Abstract

       In recent years, there has been a growing concern for environmental Problems ding the international community to place them at the forefront due to the heightened awareness among scientists and policymakers in various nations regarding the gravity of environmental issues, which pose threats to population in numerous areas worldwide. This has made it essential to evaluate environmental conditions and identify the crises and challenges they face to facilitate the development of suitable means, methods and solutions.

           Universities hold a significant duty in training scientific professionals who can analyze environmental challenges to mitigate them, while also embracing innovative strategies that minimize environmental hazards, endorsing sustainable development practices, and considering environmental factors when initiating development projects.

           And to be able to study these Problems, various scientific disciplines are combined into a framework known as “environmental sciences”, which encompasses several specializations within physical and human sciences, all aimed at analyzing and managing the conditions and elements that influence the biosphere. In this framework, the importance of each expert in these disciplines is emphasized in articulating their perspective without disregarding or rejecting any of them while the human sciences present a comprehensive vision and diverse areas, which to achieve  sustainable development
