Steps for submitting a publication request in Afak Journal
First: Registration process on the Scientific Journals Platform:
- Open the browser (Google Chrome) and access the Google website.
- Type the name of the University of Benghazi in Arabic or English in the search box, then click Search.
- The search results will appear, from which we select the first link, the university's website.
- Access the University of Benghazi website and select the Academic Affairs menu from the menus.
- From the Academic Affairs menu, select Scientific Journals.
- Open the Scientific Journals website.
- When you open the Scientific Journals website, all journals registered at the University of Benghazi appear. You then select the journal to which you want to submit your article.
- When you open the Scientific Journal website, data and information about the journal appear.
- In this case, the required registration information will appear: Profile:
*Enter your first name in Arabic or English.
*Enter your first last name in Arabic or English.
*Create a login name, which will be an abbreviation of your first and last name in English.
*Create a password and reconfirm it.
- We then select the options on the platform by clicking on the checkbox, as follows:
ü Yes, I agree to all my data being stored in accordance with the privacy statements.
ü Yes, I would like to receive notifications about new releases and announcements.
ü Yes, I would like to receive notifications regarding the review of publication submissions submitted to this journal.
- When you select "Yes, I would like to be contacted regarding the arbitration," a text box will appear for you to fill in with your arbitration interests, meaning your arbitration areas.
- When finished, click "Register."
Second: Submitting a publication request:
- A registration completion message appears.
- Click "Edit My Profile."
- Edit your personal information, if desired.
- Go to the Roles menu.
- Select the three roles: "Author," "Reader," and "Reviewer."
- The option to register in other journals appears, allowing you to perform one or all of the roles, by clicking the plus sign (+).
- When you have completed the selection process for other scientific journals, click Save. 8. Scroll up and click "Return to Submissions."
- The author's control panel appears here, containing two menus:
The first is the My Tracks list, which lists all the author's submissions.
The second is the Archives list, which lists all submissions that have completed editing and are currently scheduled to be published, published, or rejected.
- Click on "Choose New Submission."
- Here, the author submits the article they wish to publish via the article submission form on the journal's website. They select the language of the published article (Arabic or English), the type of article, and then select and specify all the publication requirements. 12. Add any notes or comments the author would like to convey to the journal editor.
- Select "Accept all my information," then click "Save and Continue."
- Then move to the second step, which is uploading the file (the article or research to be published). This must be a Word file. Select the article type as "Text Article" and then select "Save and Continue."
- Then move to the third step, which is entering the metadata (article title, subtitle if applicable, abstract, scientific specializations, and keywords). The data must be entered in both Arabic and English.
- When adding keywords or academic specializations, you can add a single word and then press the Enter key on your keyboard.
- If there is more than one author, enter their information by adding a contributor.
- Add the references for the article, then click Save & Continue.
- Confirm the publication request by clicking Finish Publication Request.
- If the article file is not uploaded, you can bypass this by clicking "Review Submission."
- We add a discussion in the pre-review discussions. The topic and thesis are then selected, and attachments can be added to the thesis. Here, you can add the article.
- You now have an account on the journal's website. You can follow the publication stages of the submission you submitted and submit another submission.
