Journal Policy on appeals and complaints from authors

. Authors are notified of the rejection of their papers as soon as the reviewers’ evaluations are received.

  1. The reasons for rejection are not initially disclosed, as the journal is not obligated to provide them. However, in some cases, and in response to requests by some researchers, the journal may provide the reasons to affirm its commitment to impartiality and transparency, and to clarify the grounds for rejection beyond dispute.
  2. If the author appeals the reviewers’ decision—particularly in cases where the reasons were not initially disclosed due to special considerations—he/she may then be granted access to the reasons for rejection.
