1947-1931 : سكان ليبيا
Abstract
يبين الوضع الحالي لاتجاهات النمو السكاني للمستعمرة الإيطالية السابقة (ليبيا) مثالاً لمحاولة احتلال علي نطاق واسع لبلد قلصت فيه الجغرافية والمناخ حجم السكان إلي رقم صغير، ليبيا ذات مساحة شاسعة، حوالي 176 ألف كيلو متر مربع ولكن أغلبها صحراء وقدر مجمل سكان البلاد بحوالي 900,000 نسمة، ويعيش أغلب السكان في شريط ضيق من الأراضي الغير الصحراوية بمحاذاة الساحل وهي تكون %3% من المساحة الإجمالية للبلاد. و حتى في هذه المناطق الساحلية في مجملها يعيش السكان حياة البداوة إلي حد كبير حيث يحتالون علي العيش في حياة محفوفة بالمخاطر في ظل تهديد الجفاف المستمر، مع معدل إنتاج أقل من ثلاث رؤوس من الماشية وإنتاج سنوي لا يزيد عن واحد ونصف قنطار من المحاصيل الرئيسية للفرد الواحد، إلى مثل هذه الأوضاع البيئية قد أرسلت ايطاليا خلال الفترة بين الحربين سيلاً من المستوطنين المستعمرين حيث إنهم قليلون في العدد نسبة إلي سكان البلد الأم إلا أنهم كانوا كثيرون بالنسبة إلي ليبيا، وزاد السكان الإيطاليون إلي حوالي 150 ألف نسمة، أي 15% من إجمالي سكان ليبيا بين عام 1940 و 1943 ، ولكن منذ هذا التاريخ انخفض العدد بعد خروج المستوطنين من ليبيا إلي أقل من 50 ألف نسمة. هذا البحث يهدف إلي وصف الوضع الديموغرافي تحت ظروف تنفيذ مشروع الاستيطان في ليبيا وتقديم توضيح للإمكانات المحتملة من أجل مستقبل التنمية الاقتصادية والديموغرافية للمستعمرة الايطالية.
