About the Journal

The Scientific Journal of University of Benghazi (SJUOB) is an international peer-reviewed print and online continuous journal publishing biannually by the University of Benghazi, Libya. It is an open access, multidisciplinary journal that publish original research articles from various disciplines and other interdisciplinary approaches. The journal is open to all researchers of diverse fields of specialties and permits authors to self-archive final accepted versions of the articles.

The SJUOB was founded in 1988 as a journal of the University of Benghazi. Publishing in both Arabic and English languages. Since January 2024, the journal started to accept manuscripts submitted in English Language only. Authors can publish at no cost as there is no Article Processing Charges (APC). Published Articles are licensed via Creative Common terms under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivatives 4.0 International License. (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) to make them more readily available. The journal's full text is available online at http://sjuob.uob.edu.ly.

VISION:   The SJUOB publishes sound research in all disciplines; it is well-known, locally and internationally. It aims to be one of the foremost international periodicals for all disciplines, publishing high-quality scientific research dedicated to the development and promotion of research, post-graduate training and further education.

MISSION:  Our mission is to provide an open-access platform for the global community of scholars, scientists, and researchers who aspire to publish their research and read others’ well-reviewed research published in our journal.
