The Peer Review Process Description
The journal complies with standard review process followed by international journals. You can explore it as described in the following steps from submission to final decision:
1- The first step is to do similarity and AI test by the Committee of Following-Up the Word of Scientific Journals of University of Benghazi.
2- The paper is the passed to the editor-in-chief (EIC) for preliminary assessment of the paper quality and relevant to the journal.
3- If the paper is satisfied by the EIC, an associate editor will be assigned who is specialized in in the paper topic to send invitations to - at least - three independent expert reviewers for peer review. The reviewers are anonymous throughout the entire review process (i.e., their identities are not revealed to the authors or public).
4- The associate editor submits recommendation of the paper with reference to the reports submitted by the reviewers, which can be: Acceptance, Minor revisions, Major revisions, or Rejection.
5- The editor-in-chief makes the decision according to the recommendation submitted by the associate editor and informs the authors.
6- Following any decision made by the EIC, the paper goes to different paths as follows:
a- Acceptance: this decision leads to paper publication process that involves another final similarity test, copyediting, and final proofreading before publishing.
b- Rejection: this decision is emailed to the author(s) by the EIC with the review reports that justify rejection of the paper.
c- Major revision: the paper is returned to the authors by the EIC with the review reports to improve their paper before resubmitting again for peer review process in order to revise the improved version of the paper (usually by the same reviewers) (step 3). If the most reviewers respond with satisfied comments, then acceptance will be made (step 6-a), if not satisfied, then rejection decision (step 6-b) will be made, if further revisions are needed, then either major revisions are requested or minor revisions in the following step.
d- Minor revision: the paper is returned to the authors by the EIC with the review reports to commit with the minor revisions. After submitting the revised version, the associate editor and EIC will revise the changes made by the authors, then paper is accepted, usually without another review.
