Submission Guidelines for the University of Benghazi Conference Proceedings Series (BUCPS)
I. Eligibility and Acceptance Criteria:
· The manuscript must be original and must not have been previously published, in whole or in part.
· The manuscript must fall within the scope and scientific fields of the conference to which it is submitted.
· All accepted papers are subject to the Open Access policy under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0).
II. Paper Formatting (Common Standard for Conference Series):
· Language: English is preferred, with an optional Arabic abstract.
· Font Type and Size: Times New Roman or Arial, 12 pt.
· Line Spacing: 1.5.
· Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides (top, bottom, left, and right).
· Page Length: Typically ranges between 6–10 pages, subject to variation based on the conference requirements.
· Citation and Reference Style: APA or IEEE, as determined by the conference policy.
III. Required Submission Files:
· Manuscript file in Microsoft Word (.docx) or PDF format.
· A separate metadata file containing: title, abstract, keywords, and author details (including ORCID iDs for all co-authors).
· A signed Authorship Declaration and Originality Statement confirming that the manuscript is original and has not been previously published (a downloadable template is available on the platform).
This section is dedicated to full original research papers that have been submitted to and accepted for presentation at the conference. All articles in this section undergo a peer-review process supervised by the scientific committee of the conference and are published in full in the conference proceedings.
This section is designated for the publication of forewords, welcoming addresses, introductory statements, and final reports prepared by the conference chairs and the scientific and organizing committees. Contributions to this section are not subjected to the peer-review process and are disseminated under the sole responsibility of the conference chair and the scientific committee.
This section is reserved for the publication of extended abstracts of studies and research presented at the conference, typically ranging between 2–4 pages in length. These extended abstracts are subject to review by the scientific committee of the conference.
This section contains the abstracts of scientific posters (poster presentations) exhibited at the conference. Poster abstracts are subject to review by the scientific committee and are published as short abstracts without full-text articles.
This section is dedicated to the publication of summaries or full texts of keynote lectures and plenary sessions delivered by invited speakers. The contents of this section are not subject to the peer-review process (non-peer-reviewed).
This section contains the research papers or reports presented within the workshops held in conjunction with the conference. These papers and reports are subject to review and peer-review in accordance with the policy of the organizing committee of each workshop.
Authors retain the copyright to their work, granting BUCPS a license to publish, make available, and distribute the work. By submitting a manuscript for publication, authors agree to grant BUCPS a non-exclusive license to publish the work, while retaining the right to use their work in teaching and future research.
BUCPS is committed to protecting the privacy of its users (authors, reviewers, and readers). All personal data collected through the platform are used solely for academic and communication purposes related to the publication process, including:
· Communicating with authors and reviewers regarding the status of submissions.
· Sending notifications about new issues or important updates.
· Data are not shared with any third party or used for commercial purposes. Users have the right to request the deletion of their data at any time by contacting the technical support team.
