Psychological security and its relationship to aggressive behavior among hearing-impaired students at Al-Jabal Center for Teaching the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Al-Bayda city

Abstract

The study aimed to examine the levels of both psychological security and aggressive behavior among students with hearing-impairments, as well as to analyze the nature of the relationship between them, It also sought to test the ability of psychological security to predict the level of aggressive behavior. Furthermore, the study investigated differences in these two variables according to the variables of gender, severity of hearing loss, and educational stage. The study was conducted on a sample of (30) male and female students from the Al-Jabal Center for the Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Al-Bayda city. Two instruments were administered to measure psychological security and aggressive behavior. The results revealed a statistically significant correlation between the two variables, with no significant differences in the level of psychological security attributable to the study variables.                In contrast, significant differences were found in aggressive behavior attributable to gender and degree of hearing impairment, favor of males and individuals with mild hearing loss.                                       No differences were observed according to the educational stage. The finding also indicated that psychological security is predictive factor of aggressive behavior among this group
