الملخص

This study has conducted on Lake Ghaith in the western edge of the low infidels Jawf. This study has included the climate of the study area and the chemical and physical properties of the soil and also the analysis of the water have been shown by monitoring the state of the climate based on meteorological station records infidels in Kufrah. This study has concluded that this area characterized by desert climate is very dry as well as diminished rainfall over this region amounts so that they are almost non-existent resulting in a significant drought this lake due to low groundwater fed by rainwater level as well as the marked area high annual average temperature and the relative humidity is low and the prevailing wind northeast winds (tribal). The results show that the study of the soil of this region chemical and physical tests are decreased in organic matter ranged between (0.65 to 0.93) and the ph ranged between (7.94 to 9.54) has been shown that these alkaline soil and outreach electrical capacity of the laboratory at 21043 millimose / cm was clear from these results and high salinity of the water while the electrical conductivity of the soil has reached 396.20 millimose / cm which is considered semi-saline soil and the results showed higher cautions and bicarbonate ions and rate. The mechanical analysis of the soil turned out that the soil of this region do not have a great variety, because most of the area may be of material out of one and therefore the sandy soil is almost as prevalent on other types of soils.
