The study aims to reveal the role of the family in choosing a major for their children and to identify ways of convincing their families of the university major they wish to study, as well as revealing the impact of imposing an academic major that the children do not want and do not find themselves in and does not meet their personal ambitions and desires. A role in choosing the university major for the children, as the study concluded that the family has an influence on its children in choosing the university major, and some respondents also stressed the need for the family to help and support them in choosing the academic major, and the study confirmed that the educational level is not a major reason for choosing the university major for the children
