Abstract

We address through this research one of the topics of international law for one of the most important emerging principles in the literature of contemporary international law, especially in our time in light of the changes that the international community is going through or through the evolutionary path of the rules of public international law, where we deal through this research analysis and discussion of aspects The legal principle of the responsibility to protect Which basically involves a realistic process in that it represents a retreat from one of the principles of international law that has been in force since the end of the Second World War until recently, which is the principle of international intervention for humanitarian purposes, which makes us now before a new international legal rule whose study seems more urgent, especially In the conflicts in the international environment from the nineties of the last century until the second decade of the twenty-first century.

Therefore, we will shed light on the rules regulating the principle of the responsibility to protect by identifying the most important rules that govern the implementation of this principle, in addition to highlighting the most important elements that achieve the desired goal and in accordance with international legitimacy.
