Abstract

It has been dominant that all the poems engraved of the walls of Alhamra belong to Ibn Zomrok, that he said after his disaster corproblem by the hand of king Mohammed the fifth (I served him for thirty seven years, three in morocco and the rest in Andalus, I said poems for him sixty six poem in sixty six (casinos ( Eids) and everything in his happy houses from palaces and gardens of high class poetry and extreme appretiasion of his palaces and gardens and else was mine). But the recent studies showed that there are other poets than Iben Zomrok whose poems were on the walls and hous of Alhamra for example: Iben Eljiab Elkarnati and Ibn Elkatib and the king Yosef the third and his poet Abo Elhussain Farkoon – but their poems were not to be immortal on the woalls of El hamra as the poems of Iben Zomrok and this led us to the question what is the secret behind the immortality of Ibn Zomrok poems on the buildings of El hamra than other poems of other poert of Andalus. And this study conceded that the secret of immortality for these poems is because of these reasons:
1 – The great prestige of Iben Zomrok at the kings of Bani Elahmer specially Mohammed the fifth and his grond son Yosef the third.
2 – Most of Ibn Zomrok written poems were for appreciation of king mohammed the fifth and his sons and grandsons after him were proud by his work and his great buildings and by the poems that were engraved on them and these poems were assures of pride for all of them and so they were carful to keep these poems save and not to replace them by other poems for other poers as what happened with the poems of Ibn Elkatib that were erased by Ibn Zomrok to put his poems in stead.
3 – The engraved poetry Ibn Zomrok was not good enough when we compare it by his appreciation poems that was to be the purpose of appreciation and also when compared with the poems of Ibn Eljiab and Ibn Elkatib and Iben Farkoon that were made for the purpose to be engrave. And this leads us to say that the secret of immortality of Ibn Zomrok potry was not because he was the best in engraved poetry.
