The effectiveness of psychological and emotional release strategies in reducing the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder among a sample of young people in the city of Benghazi

The main purpose of this studywasto investigate the effectiveness of emotional release therapy, to treat post trauma disorder symptoms among Libyan youth. An experimental one-group design was conduct, to examine the effectiveness of the emotional release strategies among (10) traumatized participants, theywere selected from a Psychological Centre “Brine Centre” in Benghazi city, Data was collected using the post trauma inventory questionnaire and a form for demographic characteristics. The findings showed significant differences between the per-test and post- test in post trauma disorder. Therefore, the intervention can have a positive effect on traumatized people.
