Abstract

The study aimed to identify the level of school violence and the level of mental health among students from the perspective of the study sample, as well as to determine whether there is a relationship between school violence and mental health. he study aims to identify the most prevalent patterns of school violence and psychological variables among primary school students from the perspective of their teachers, and to determine the differences in the level of school violence and mental health among the sample members attributed to variables such as gender (teachers - female teachers), specialization, years of experience, and academic qualification..The sample consisted of (234) male and female teachers, comprising (108) male teachers and (126) female teachers. The School Violence Behavior Scale by Mikhail (2024) and the Primary School Students’ Mental Health Scale (from the Teacher’s Perspective), developed by the researchers, were administered. The results showed:
The level of violent school behavior among the sample group was average, while the level of mental health was high. There was a negative inverse relationship between the dimensions of mental health and the dimensions of violent school behavior. The study group members’ responses were average in their view of violent school behavior and the mental health. conditions of students with violent behavior ,There were differences between male and female teachers in their assessment of student violence and its dimensions, with male teachers showing a more favorable view .There were also differences between male and female teachers in their assessment of student violence and its various forms, with teachers with scientific specialization showing a more favorable view .There were differences between male and female teachers in their assessment of school violence behavior among students and its areas, with the differences favoring teachers with five years or more of experience .There are differences between male and female teachers in their assessment of school violence behavior among students on the overall score, and on the two dimensions (verbal and physical). There are differences between male and female teachers in their assessment of students’ mental health and its aspects.There were no differences between male and female teachers in their assessments of the level of mental health among students on the overall score and on the emotional domain, while here are differences between male and female teachers in their assessments of the level of mental health among students on the overall score in the two dimensions (emotional and social).differences were found between male and female teachers in their assessments of the social domain of the level of mental health among students.
