Abstract

The current study aimed to find out the availability of professional standards for mathematics teachers in the basic education stage (primary education) in the city of Al-Marj in the light of some variables during the academic year 2022-2023. Therefore, this study followed the descriptive approach. The study sample consisted of (69) teachers who were selected randomly. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire was relied upon after being reviewed and refined by the committee of refereed, and the questionnaire was prepared by Zayed Mutayran Al-Enezi in 2019, and it included 33 paragraphs distributed over six areas whose validity and reliability were confirmed. In general, the results of the study showed a large degree of the availability of professional standards for mathematics teachers in the basic education stage(primary education)  in the city of Al-Marj , and in term of the domains (sustainable professional development, employment of developed mathematics teaching strategies, classroom management, and the cognitive component of mathematics) came with the highest scores in the questionnaire, and the domains (technology employment and performance evaluation) received  a lower percentage compared to the previous ones.
