Author Self-Archiving Policy
Authors of articles published in our scientific journals are permitted to self-archive their work under the following terms and conditions:
When self-archiving their manuscripts, authors must provide appropriate citations and statements depending on the publication stage, as outlined below:
- Preprint Stage (Submitted but not yet accepted):
If the manuscript has been submitted for publication but has not yet been accepted, the author may upload it to a personal website or an institutional repository, provided they include the following statement:
"Submitted for publication in the Libyan Journal of Media Research."
- Postprint Stage (Accepted Manuscript):
If the research is accepted for publication and the copyright is transferred to the Libyan Journal of Media Research, the author is permitted to post the accepted manuscript on their personal website. The following statement must prominently appear on the first page of the manuscript:
"Accepted for publication in the Libyan Journal of Media Research, [Publication Date], [Year]."
Under this condition, the author is strictly prohibited from resubmitting the manuscript to any other publisher or venue.
- Version of Record Stage (Published Version):
Once the article is officially published, the previous statement must be updated to the following:
"An edited version of this research paper was published by the Libyan Journal of Media Research, University of Benghazi, [Year]."
Authors are also strongly encouraged to provide the full bibliographic citation and a direct link to the open-access abstract using the following format:
Author(s). (Year of Publication). Article Title. Libyan Journal of Media Research, Volume(Issue), Page/Citation Numbers. Abstract DOI: [Insert Journal DOI Link].
