About the Journal

The Libyan Journal of Media Research was established pursuant to University of Benghazi Council Resolution No. (9) of 2016. The journal commenced its electronic publication in May 2019 and has been assigned legal deposit number (20 / 9102) by the National Library."

 

The Libyan Journal of Media Research (LJMR) is a specialized, peer-reviewed electronic scholarly journal dedicated to media and communication studies. It is published semi-annually by the Faculty of Media at the University of Benghazi.

The journal adopts the motto "Research Approaches and Societal Solutions" as a conceptual framework for its research agendas, which encompass various media disciplines, including journalism, broadcasting, public relations, theater, and cinema. These agendas are designed to cover the scholarly output of the faculty’s academic departments, in alignment with its
