Publishing Rules
- Language and Copyediting Research papers, studies, and reviews must be submitted in correct Arabic that has undergone proper linguistic proofreading, or in rigorous academic English.
- Formatting of Fonts, Spaces, and Paragraphs
- Research papers written in Arabic: Printed in (Simplified Arabic) font, font size 12 for the body text (1.5 line spacing), and font size 14 (Bold) for main and subheadings.
- Research papers and abstracts written in English: Printed in (Times New Roman) font, font size 12 for the body text, and font size 14 (Bold) for headings.
- Spaces and Margins: A top and bottom margin of (3 cm) and side margins of (2.5 cm) must be left on all pages of the research paper.
- Layout of Tables and Figures: Figures, shapes, and tables are placed flowing within the text in their correct position with font size 12 and single line spacing, and italics (Italic) are used for titles and explanations instead of underlines (Underline).
- Manuscript and Abstract Size (Digital Metrics)
- The total size of the research paper must not exceed (25) pages.
- The total word count of the research manuscript must fall between 6000 and 8000 words (including: body text, footnotes, and tables; and excluding references and technical appendices).
- Each research paper must be accompanied by a structured abstract in Arabic and an abstract in English, with the size of each ranging between 150 and 250 words, briefly including: (objective, methodology, sample, and the most prominent results and added value), followed by precise keywords (5 words) to increase the efficiency of digital research (SEO).
- Methodological Structure and Structural Specifications of the Manuscript (Manuscript Structure) The researcher is committed to arranging the elements and components of their research according to globally recognized methodological steps in media and communication research:
- Title Page: Includes the accurate and concise title of the research in both languages (not exceeding 15 words), the full name of the researcher, their affiliation, academic rank, academic email, and the digital identifier (ORCID).
- Abstract and Keywords (Abstract & Keywords).
- Introduction: Includes the scientific research problem and the research gap, objectives, and measurable questions or hypotheses.
- Methodology: It specifies the scientific methodology and the justifications for its choice, the research population and sample (description of the method and sampling size), study limitations (objective, temporal, spatial), data collection tools and validity and reliability procedures (Validity & Reliability), and operational concepts.
- Theoretical Framework and Literature Review (Theoretical Framework & Literature Review): A systematic, critical review of previous literature and linking it to the approved communication theoretical background.
- Analysis and Discussion (Analysis & Discussion): Presenting data via statistical tables and graphs, followed by scientific interpretation and linking to hypotheses.
- Conclusion: General results and recommendations (Conclusion & Recommendations).
- References: Sources are documented according to the Harvard System; so that references in the final list are returned in alphabetical order according to the aut t used.
