Effect of adding different levels of crushed leaves of Thymus capitatus that available in Al-Jabal al-akhdar (Libya) to the diet on some blood indicators of the broiler chickens ROSS 308.

The study was conducted in a special poultry farm in Al-Marj for Al-Jabal al-Akhdar area (Libya) during the period 28 – 4 -2017 to 8- 6 - 2017 for the purpose of studying the effect of adding different levels of crushed leaves of Thymus capitatus that available in Al-Jabal al-akhdar (Libya) to the diet on some blood indicators of the broiler chickens(ROSS 308) . a total of 396 non- naturalized birds were randomly assigned to 4 treatments with 3 replicates per treatment and 33 birds per repeater (99 birds / treatment). T1 control treatment -free additives, T2, T3 T4 sequentially includes the addition of 0.3%, 0.6%, 0.9% of crushed thyme leaves. The results showed T3 and T4 were significantly increased, while T2 showed non-significant differences compared to T1 in RBCs, Hb, PCV% and L% .All treatments showed a significant increase compared with T1 in (L) and total blood protein level (g / 100 ml). T4 showed significant increase, while T2 and T3 showed non-significant differences compared to T1 in WBCs. All treatments showed non-significant differences compared to T1 in H, H%. All treatments showed a significant decrease compared with T1 in blood glucose level (mg / 100ml), blood cholesterol level (mg / 100ml).
