Abstract

This critical study deals with the concept of novel space, and through this concept we will seek to determine the artistic direction of the narrative text, whether this text is real or mythical. for this aim we elected two texts, both of which represent a technical trend. First: Miramar's novel by Naguib Mahfouz, As a model of realistic direction, and through the analysis of this text we tried to reveal the realistic standards of novel space. The second text is the novel WOW Al sogra by Ibrahim al-Kony, as a model of the legendary trend, and during his analysis we tried to define the criteria of mythical space novelist and the study concluded a clarification of a set of criteria that distinguish each novelist space from the other, during which it can distinguish between the realistic trend, And the legendary trend in the novel.
