The current research aims to discover the interconnections between negative affect factors (i.e. anger, hostility and pessimism) as well as finding out the levels of negative affect factors in research sample as a whole, the difference in these factors between the genders. The research sample included 260 students at Benghazi University.
The students were 7th and 8th semester students from a variety of faculties (arts and education, science, economics and engineering).
The research tools used were the anger and hostility measurements which are branches of the aggressive Behavior Measurement for teenagers and adults prepared, by Batha (2003) as well as the pessimism measurement taken from the Arabic optimism and pessimism Index by Abdel Khaliq (1996).
