Abstract

The research deals with the study of the forms of water sculpture in the Al-Battanan plateau, especially in some precise geomorphological forms in the valleys, such as renewal points, diving pits, rock terraces and piedmont, then studying the slopes and analyzing the map of gradients and directions of the slopes of the plateau. The study area is located between longitudes 23.15 degrees east to 25 degrees east, and two latitudes 30.00 degrees north to 32.06 degrees north latitude. And the desert, with an estimated area of about 55,475.22 square kilometers.

This study is preceded by an introduction and includes determining the location of the study, its objectives, its importance, the reasons for choosing the topic of the research, and some of the previous studies, and to achieve the objectives of the research, the inductive approach, the analytical method, the quantitative method and the cartographic method were used, as the study relied on geological and topographic maps, geographic information systems technology and remote sensing, In order to determine the exact geomorphological shapes of the valleys.
