Abstract

The city of Ghadames during the second Ottoman era was a scientific beacon, and it was distinguished from other cities in the western state of Tripoli by the abundance of writings and mosques in it, in addition to the corners and the spread of Sufi orders in them, which contributed to the elimination of the spread of illiteracy among the people, and the creation of an educated elite, which contributed to the advancement of education And the culture of the city community during that period.
