Abstract

This study aims at examining the relationship between the study habits and the achievement motivation for the students of education and psychology department in the college of arts and sciences in Suluq as well as discussing the differences at using the study habits between the members of the study sample according to the study variables (type – study level). The study samples consists of (160) Female/males students using the descriptive approach. To achieve the objectives of this study, a measure of the habits of remembering is used and prepared by Hamdy Faramawi (2000) that contains 72 sections distributed on four dimensions and the measure of motivation achievement, prepared by Almesharfi (2012). The results indicated that there is a statistically significant correlation between the study habits and the achievement motivation among the members of the study sample. Moreover, the study showed that there are statistically significant differences between the genders in the study habits. However, the results showed that there are statistically significant differences between the members of the study sample in the use of study habits due to the variable of the study level.
