Modern epistemology focused in its research for knowledge on the relationship of the knowing self with the subject of knowledge , and with development of the research , a third party emerges in the cognitive process , this party is the other who the self continue to deny , so each philosophy criticizes its predecessor to present a new conception , and each one who participates in a discussion insists on his opinion , this conflict was noticed by some philosophers , including the German philosopher and sociologist "Jurgen Habermas" , for understand Habermas's point of view , this study aimed to research for a central concept in Habermas's philosophy of communication , this concept is "intersubjectivity" and the relationship of this concept to what Habermas reached in his criticism of modernity , how the concept of intersubjectivity of Habermas affected by the semiotic aspect of many philosophers , and the valueof language in the philosophy of communication for Habermas , and what are the rules of discussion identified by Habermas , and in order to achieve these goals , the analytical method was use.
What Habermas mean by intersubjectivity is , as he described it a displacement of the self from the center , and this is by training the sellf to accept and admit the other, this is within the framework of specific criteria through which all opinions can be tested ,Habermas rejected that : the mind is a tool for controlling to nature , and achieving individual benefit in severing communication between selves , he also identified the importance of language in coordinating the actions of the audience of actors , and providing the paths through which interactions can be manifestedin an organized manner and without conflict , these sciences are based on understanding and interpreting what humans say and think , then this is related to their actions and thus Habermas confirms that : the language is the base of the human action .
