The Utilization of Digital Media Applications in the Educational Process "A Field Study on Students of the College of Media, Benghazi University"

The study aimed to investigate the role of utilizing digital media applications in the educational process from the perspective of students at Benghazi University. The descriptive method was employed to elucidate and analyze this phenomenon. The study population encompassed students from the College of Media at Benghazi University. A stratified random sample comprising 278 individuals was utilized. Data were gathered through a questionnaire designed to measure the phenomenon. The results revealed that the applications Facebook and Telegram were favored by students in terms of their usage within the educational process. Furthermore, the findings demonstrated that a prominent motivation among students for using these applications was knowledge acquisition and fostering a culture of self-directed learning. Additionally, the rapid accessibility to information was highlighted as a driving factor. Moreover, the study concluded that the utilization of digital media applications leads to an enhancement in cognitive outcomes and contributes to an amelioration of the learning experience for students.
