Human trafficking is one of the most serious global crimes, affecting millions of people around the world. The Internet is an important platform for human traffickers to attract and exploit victims, and artificial intelligence can play an important role in countering human trafficking online. The study aimed to demonstrate the concept of human trafficking and artificial intelligence and its main advantages, disadvantages and characteristics. The study also aimed to demonstrate how artificial intelligence is used to help counter the phenomenon of human trafficking and improve the efficiency of investigations and support victims. By analysing big data from the Internet, such as social media data, dating apps and Internet forums, for indications of human trafficking, the study concluded that AI applications are an important tool in reducing the phenomenon of human trafficking; It can significantly reduce human errors and increase accuracy in the accomplishment of tasks, and therefore the study recommends the activation of artificial intelligence tools and applications in the field of ICT as a tool that contributes to reducing this phenomenon, and helps legal actors in placing human trafficking organizations.
