Abstract

This study examined the fertility of the population in Libya (1984-2015) by studying its determinants from the change in the age structure of females in the age range (15-49) ،marital status ،average age at marriage ،numbers of enrolled in education and the contribution of women to the workforce ،as the study covered Fertility rates and their levels ،and the study found that fertility rates decreased ، the crude birth rate decreased from 46 per thousand 33 per thousand ،the total fertility rate decreased from 8.3 children to 3.3 children ،as well as the decrease in the total reproduction rate from 4.1 children to 1.6 children ،and by studying trends Future fertility turns out to be declining.
