Proposed Mechanisms for the Operationalization of the Role of the University of Benghazi in Community Service

This research aims to reach proposed mechanisms to operationalize the role of the University of Benghazi in community service. In order to achieve this, the descriptive methodology is followed. The first steps of this methodology were represented in the theoretical framework which revolves around identifying the theoretical foundations of the role of the university in community service. Secondly, presenting models of foreign and Arab experiences for the role of the university in community service (the United States of America and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). Finally, reaching proposed mechanisms to operationalize the role of the University of Benghazi which were identified as mechanisms related to the university and others which are related to the following areas: educational service, applied research, training, consulting and community partnership.
