The present study aimed to identify the level of psychological loneliness among elderly who had psychosomatic diseases in Benghazi city, also to identify the differences of psychological loneliness regarding the following variables (gender - age – professional status - educational level - marital status - type of disease). The study sample consisted of (100) individuals suffering from one of the psychosomatic diseases. Data was collected using The Arab version of the psychological loneliness scale by Russell 1996. The results indicated that the level of psychological loneliness was low among the study sample, and that there were no differences regarding gender, age, type of disease, marital status ,educational level And profession .
