Libya's political elections in 1952

This study deals with the issue of the 1952 Libyan elections. The researcher established a very precise chronology of the conduct of the elections, on the basis of the Constitution, its working committees, the electoral code, the steps of the declarations and the decisions related thereto, the rivalry between the opposition and the government and their divergence, the interference of the government in the elections, the irregularities that have occurred, the position of the United Nations as a spectator, the bloody consequences and subsequent events, and the expulsion and exile of opposition leaders and the abolition of political parties. Finally, the researcher saw this as the beginning of the end of the state, which has now become alone unopposed that can manifest governmental errors.
