The Tolmeita area in north-eastern Libya is characterized by many natural factors that qualify it to establish eco-tourism and make it a focus of environmental tourism attraction in Libya, so this study aims to recognize the reality of eco-tourism in the area, in terms of its constituents and the problems it suffers from, and to reveal the obstacles that prevent the development Ecotourism in the area, and to achieve the goals of the study, a descriptive approach and a regional approach have been adopted. A set of results has been reached, the most important of which is that the Tolmeita region possesses many natural ingredients that enable it to be a tourist pole, but it suffers from the presence of many obstacles that prevented The development of ecotourism. A set of recommendations has been developed that will contribute to the development and revitalization of tourism in the study area. Modernizing the infrastructure through the optimal use of natural resources, and granting more conditions, exemptions, concessions and facilities for tourism investments in accordance with all environmental consideration.
