Administrative information systems and their relationship to decision-making among senior educational leaders in monitoring education in Benghazi from the point of view of workers and administrators in the sector.

The study aimed to describe the reality of management information systems (the basic structure of management information systems - the quality of information resulting from management information systems) at the Libyan Ministry of Education according to point of view of the employes , and managers in Benghazi education offices , as well as, to determine the strength and direction of the relationship between management information systems and the effectiveness of the decision taken by educational leaders in top managements in educational offices in Benghazi , the researchers used the descriptive approach, the questionnaire was used as a tool to collect data that was developed by reference to theoretical literature and previous studies. The data were analyzed statistically using the arithmetic mean, standard deviation and Pearson correlation coefficient, the results of the study confirmed that the description of the reality of the management information systems available to the higher administrations in in Benghazi educational offices was less than expected, in addition to weakness in the infrastructure of available management information systems, which resulted in a weakness in the quality of information Provided by those available systems in terms of accuracy, objectivity and accessibility and its coverage according to the opinion of the sample members, however, despite the poor basic structure of the available management information systems the sample members fully believe that the availability of information systems with high quality specifications ensures high effectiveness of the decision made by the decision makers, through the existence of a statistically significant relationship between the availability of good information systems and the quality of the decision taken.
