Abstract

The current study aimed to discover the relationship between emotional relationships and academic achievement for students of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences - Saluk. The study relied on the associative descriptive approach, and the study sample consisted of "240" students at the College of Arts and Sciences - Saluk who have emotional relationships. They were chosen intentionally, the emotional relationships measure was used by Rabab (2015) as a study tool, and the psychometric properties of this tool were confirmed during the exploratory study (n = 40), where the researchers calculated the validity of the vocabulary (internal consistency) of the tool and the correlation coefficient was The overall vocabulary is good, and it is in the range of "0.50 - 0.70". They also calculated the stability of the Alpha Cronbach method and it turned out that the stability factor "0.87" for the tool is high. Statistical analyzes revealed the following results: A statistically significant correlation at the significance level of 0.01 between emotional relationships and academic achievement for the study sample. The presence of a statistically significant correlation at 0.01 level between emotional relationships and neglect in the study sample. There is a statistically significant correlation at 0.01 level between emotional relationships and absence in the study sample. The presence of a statistically significant correlation at 0.01 level between emotional relationships and concentration in the study sample.
