Renewable energies as an entrance to achieve sustainable development in the Kufra region - southeast Libya.

Nowadays huge and essential use of traditional energy such as oil, gas and coal mines became an addiction worldwide, use of these sources usually has some disadvantages to the environments. For these reasons, globally, most countries seek another source to save the environment and supply us with the essential energy source. Libya is a perfect place, in particular Alkufra, to supply this safe and permanent solar energy source. From this study we have found that Alkufra is really a perfect place to use this source of energy as it only needs sun and wind, and flat surface which are abundant and available most of the year, in Alkufra the sun exposure usually from 12-14 hours a day.
