Occupational pressures and their relationship to decision-making among a sample of the women police in the city of Benghazi

Abstract

Good decisions are one of the important things that all security services in the country must take care of, This is because of its importance in influencing the course of events on the ground, Therefore, the current study sheds light on an important safety feature, Among the devices on which the Libyan state relies to  instill  security in the hearts of citizens, Therefore, this field study aims to investigate the causal relationships between Occupational stress on the one hand, and the ability to make decisions on the other hand, While the study sample consisted of 40 female police officers of all ranks, In order to achieve the results of the study, the researcher used the analysis and the structural equation of the model through the program (AMOS), Statistically process the information, which indicated that there is a positive relationship as high as 98% between the emotional balance variable and decision making among the study sample, This confirms the need to provide a suitable environment for women working in this sensitive security apparatus, So that she can focus on her work and stay away from pressures that may affect her decision-making, The result of the analysis also confirmed that the level of Occupational stress in the psychological dimension is high compared to the social dimension, In addition, the results showed the impact of female police officers' ability to make decisions in the face of loss of emotional balance.
