"The Effectiveness of Using Activities And Some Cultural Media In Developing Knowledge And Environmental Behavior For Children Of Primary School In Libya”

Abstract

The problem with current study is summarized in establishing proper environmental concepts for children in the primary school level for measuring the effectiveness of a given program that depends on activities and some cultural media in developing knowledge and environmental behavior in children.

            The program has been applied on a sample of (108) children of both sexes of ages between (13-15) years, who are in 7th, 8th and 9th grades. in the study I depend on using a semi-experimental curriculum through implementing research tools which are implementing tools that include a list of environmental concepts and a program that is based on an environmental camp, environmental press, environmental stage and environmental internet in addition to relevant measuring tools which include testing environmental knowledge a scale for environmental behavior situations and a card for environmental behavior.

The findings of the study are summarized as follows:

1. (there are/there aren’t) statistical differences on the level of (0,05) between the average of grades of both groups experimental and normalizing before and after applying the program in the concepts relevant to the environmental system, natural resources and possible environmental problems included in the environmental knowledge testing used in the study.
2. (there are/there aren’t) statistical differences on the level of (0,05) between the average of grades of both groups Experimental and normalizing before and after applying the program in the behavior relevant to preserving the natural balance and behavior relevant to using natural resources. The environmental behavior relevant to combating environmental problems and included in behavioral situations possible in the environmental behavior scale used in the study.
