Ethical standards expected of arbitrators

1. Evaluating research to ensure its compatibility with the journal’s requirements.
2. Reviewing the research objectively and accurately.
3. Securing the confidentiality of any information provided to the reviewer. (Do not write or copy the article).
4. They must take direction objectively and they must express their opinion clearly with compelling arguments.
5. Informing the editor-in-chief if the research has submitted to another journal.
6. Inform the editor of any suspicions of possible violations of ethical standards by the authors.
7. Disclosure of any conflicts of interest with respect to the manuscript and the authors.
8. Take caution against any repercussions resulting from interest in the research (the relationship with the University or any relationship between the reviewer and the author(s)), inform the editor-in-chief of this, and withdraw from reviewing the research.
