Reference responsibilities
- The reviewers should be from outside the editorial board of the journal or its advisory board, and other employees of the journal.
- A reviewer who feels ineligible to review assigned papers or asserts that he cannot meet the deadline for completing the review must immediately inform the editor and exempt himself from the process of reviewing this research.
- The reviewer must inform the editor to step down from reviewing research papers in case of a conflict of interest. Specifically, the reviewer should recuse himself from reviewing any paper written or co-authored by a person with whom he or she has a clear personal or academic relationship if the relationship could present a bias or reasonable perception of bias.
- Reviewers must treat research papers in a confidential manner, and research papers must not be disclosed or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor.
- The reviewer should approach the peer review function objectively.
- Personal criticism of the author is unacceptable.
- The reviewer should not use his own research in any part of any data or work in the articles submitted to him for review.
- The reviewer must immediately notify the editor of any similarities between a research paper under review and another paper that is either published or under consideration by another journal.
- The reviewer should immediately bring to the attention of the editor research papers containing stolen material or forged data.
