Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The first page should be topped by the title of the research, followed by the researcher's triple name, contact details, researcher's affiliation, researcher's position in both Arabic and English, and his e-mail.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Commitment to the rules of publication and its specific controls, the scientific methodology used in writing and preparing scientific research, and adherence to the recognized ethics of scientific research stipulated in legislation.
  • The researcher should submit a written undertaking that the research is unpublished, accepted for publication, or submitted for publication in any other means of publication.
  • The researcher submits a summary of the research in both languages: Arabic and English, minimum 250, maximum 500 words.
  • Keywords of not less than five words, not present in the title of the research, and be in both languages: Arabic and English.
  • Submitted works are subject to arbitration, in accordance with the system followed in the journal, provided that the arbitrator takes into account precise specialization in the research topic, integrity and objectivity.
  • In writing the research, the scientific rules recognized in the documentation are followed as follows: The book is indicated in the text in brackets, where the author's family name, then the year, and the page are mentioned, for example: (Aoun, 2006: 23), and if the book consists of several parts, the part and the page are mentioned, for example: (Al-Masoudi, 2006: 2/23), and if the authorship is dual, the names of the first and second authors are mentioned: (Aoun and Rajhi, 2006: 23), and if the authorship is co-authored, it is added after the first name "et al.", e.g.: (Aoun et al., 2006: 23).
  • The research should be free of linguistic and typographical errors.
  • The research to be published should be printed by computer using Microsoft Word in Simplified font Arabic 14, and that the subheadings are Title 16 (bold), and the main Title 18 (bold), and the distance between the lines is single, and the distance between paragraphs is 6 points, and the research is submitted in CD in addition to a printed copy on paper size. A4When page sizes are specified, the margin distance from the binding side is 5.3 cm or (56.1 inches) and the rest of the margins are 5.2 cm or (11.1 inches)
  • The researcher submits a separate paper A4 with a brief record (CV) about his academic history, general and
    accurate specialization, as well as his scientific interests to use this data to introduce him to the readers of the periodical.
  • The research should not be less than 15 pages and not more than 30 pages, a minimum of 11,000, a maximum of 15,000 words.
  • The researcher shall be notified of a letter stating that the research is accepted, rejected, or accepted after the amendments, and in the event of rejection of the research, the journal is not obliged to state the reasons for rejection.
  • The journal is obliged to save the intellectual property of the researcher.
  • Research papers are published in the journal according to the precedence of their receipt after preparing them in their final form for publication, taking into account the diversity in specialization

Author Guidelines

Contact Rules:

  • Research papers are submitted exclusively through the journal's website and don't submit in paper form or via e-mail.
  • All inquiries related to publication should be sent to the name of the editor-in-chief via the official email address of the journal.
  • The research should include the researcher's full name, contact details, employer and scientific or job position.

Publication Ethics:

The Journal of the Faculty of Scientific Education for Scientific Publishing follows the Code of Conduct for Publishers of Journals issued by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and works to ensure good practice of publishing ethics. The publisher also has a responsibility to ensure that the publishing system runs smoothly and that ethical guidelines are applied to assist the editor, author, and reviewer in performing their ethical duties.

Expected ethical standards of authors:

  1. Secure a correct record of the data attached to the research paper submitted to the journal, and secure access to this data, so that it is approved or permitted by the employer, donor or others interested in depositing the data in a suitable place for sharing or subsequent use by others.
  2. Ensure that the research submitted for publication is not sent to another party at the same time, or accepted for publication elsewhere, and that any parts of its content overlap with published contents, must be mentioned or attributed to their source, in addition to providing the editor-in-chief with a copy of any submitted research that may contain overlapping information or related contents nearby.
  3. Observe ethical standards for publication in the journal.
  4. Ensure that all work in the submitted research is original, and that any reviewers or other information have been attributed to its sources to obtain permission to publish the contents from other sources.
  5. Declaring any implications of publication can be taken into account or reviewed as an inappropriate impact on his/her duty at any stage during the publication process.
  6. Inform the editor-in-chief or publisher without delay if an important error has been highlighted in the publication material, and cooperate with them in the event of publishing a typo, addendum, or supplement, or withdraw the research paper if necessary
  7. The researcher is obligated to make the required amendments to the research within the period determined by the journal's editorial board, and the researcher is considered to have changed his desire to publish the research in the event that the required amendments are not made at most by the lapse of 30 days from the date of receiving the response from the journal, unless there is a compelling excuse estimated by the journal's editorial board.
  8.  It is not permissible to publish the research in another medium of publication, or submit it for publication in another medium of publication after approving its publication in the journal. In this case, the researcher bears the expenses of reviewing or publication of the research and other expenses that may have been incurred by the journal on the research, and is prohibited from publishing in University journals for a period of three years, and the journal must put the name of the researcher in this case within the list of persons prohibited from publishing in the journal in the mentioned period and notify the Committee for the Follow-up of Scientific Journals at the University of Benghazi.

Author Responsibilities:

  1. An author should not submit concurrent papers (or papers that essentially describe the same topic) to multiple journals
  2. . The author must not send any research previously published anywhere to the journal for consideration.
  3. The author must provide an accurate and concise report on his research and an impartial description of its importance.
  4.  The author must collect and interpret his research data honestly.
  5.  The author must ensure that the work he presents is original. If the author has used work and/or words by others, appropriate citations should be used. Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical and unacceptable publishing behavior.
  6. The author must explicitly indicate all sources that supported the research and also declare any conflicts of interest.
  7. The author must give due credit to all those who made contributions to the research.
  8. Those who contributed significantly to the research should be included as co-authors, and the author should ensure that all co-authors have confirmed the final version of the paper and approved its final publication.
  9. The author must immediately inform the journal editor of any apparent error(s) in his published research and cooperate diligently with the editor in retracting or correcting the research.
  10. If the editor is notified by any party other than the author that the paper contains an obvious error, the author must write a retraction or make a correction depending on the medium of publication.
  11. Should the author be aware of a potential conflict of interest, he or she must bear responsibility for the accuracy of his or her research.

Research Characteristics:

  • The research should be characterized by novelty, seriousness and originality in the subject.
  • It should not be publish in any other means of publication,
  • It is permissible to publish summaries or parts of scientific theses with reference to that.
  • There should be a summary of the research in English or Arabic ((unlike the research language)).
  • There should be keywords of not less than five words, and they should be in the language of the research, and others in English.
  • The journal may republish its research within a book after three years of its publication in the journal, and after obtaining the written approval of the editor-in-chief of the journal, and to refer to the source upon republication.
  • At the beginning of the research, the date of receipt of the research, the date of acceptance of its publication in the journal, and the date of publication, should be clearly indicated.
  • The researcher must abide by the recognized ethics of scientific research stipulated in the legislation in force.

Journal Policy in case of plagiarism detection:

The journal confirms that all research submitted for publication is examined after submission to ensure plagiarism, and others and before sending it to reviewing, and any research in which clear signs of plagiarism appear, and the research that has already been published in the journal is withdrawn as soon as any literary or scientific plagiarism is discovered, and the Scientific Journals Follow-up Committee at the University of Benghazi is informed. The percentage of allowable plagiarism in the journal is 20%.
