Abstract

This study aims at identifying the level of administrative creativity and hindrances in the sample of public school principals in the city of Benghazi. To achieve the purpose of the study, we used a sample of '55' school principals and another sample of '548' teachers. Two instruments of data collection were used. The former is to measure the level of administrative creativity of the school principals from the point of view of the teachers; the latter is to measure the hindrances that hinder achieving administrative creativity from the point of view of the principals. The results show that the level of administrative creativity of the principals in the sample was average. As there are hindrances that restrict the principals from achieving administrative creativity. These hindrances were funding, organizational issues, resistance of  changes, and others related to the individual character of the principals themselves.
