Tammam Hassan through his Writings and Critics

Abstract

In this research I introduced Tammam Hassan as a significant linguist with new notions and theses in syntax, some researchers   acknowledged and valued his work, others has critiqued his notion of  the norms of Arabic Syntax in his book " Language between prescription and description", I try to present the significance of the intellectual writings in the works of Tammam Hassan and connect them with his critics accounts of norms, then evaluating the rival accounts according to Holly Quran as standard to language, which will show the inconsistency in the syntax dogma of "cause and grammar"
