Administrative performance of the heads of scientific departments in Benghazi University.
The present study aimed to examine the level of the administrative performance of the heads of scientific departments in Benghazi University ; this was accomplished through the examination to main aims: firstly, what is the level of the administrative performance of the heads of scientific departments in Benghazi University? Secondly, are there any differences in the level of the administrative performance of the heads of scientific departments in Benghazi University attributable to the study variables of educational qualification, professional experience, and specialization?
The data collection tool consisted of one main dimension including a questionnaire distributed to all the heads of scientific departments in Benghazi University during (2012-2013) included all the community of (94) heads. The questionnaire included (54) items. The response rate was (80) completed questionnaires collected. The questionnaire included six fields: making decisions based on facts, planning and identification of needs, the ability and willingness of self, performance of duties, participation and teamwork, and human relationships. To analyses the data the researcher used means, standard deviations, T. test, One Way ANOVA, and correlations. The results of the study were that, the level of the administrative performance of the heads of scientific departments in Benghazi University was high, and there were no differences in the level of the administrative performance of the heads of scientific departments in Benghazi University attributable to the study variables of educational qualification, professional experience, and specialization.
