Student Vviolence, its Manifestations, Causes and Solutions from the Point of View of the Students at Yarmouk University

This study aimed to Identify the fact of student violence at Yarmouk University and the availability of procedural methods to reduce the manifestations of violence in the university community, questionnaire research has been designed, study was conducted on a stratified random sample of (300) students from all colleges, has revealed the results of the study approval the sample of a problem student violence at Yarmouk University. They Confirmed palaces university administration to take firm action to address the student violence with a mean (2.26) on the overall terms of the reality of student violence, and stressed respondents watching the manifestations of student violence among university students with a mean (2 0.82) and this result beyond what is recorded and documented with the university administration, and the results indicated that the availability of procedural methods by the university administration to reduce the manifestations of violence came a low grade with a mean (1.57), as was the appropriateness of preventive methods by the university administration to reduce the manifestations of violence moderately with a mean (3.01) the results also indicated the presence of statistically significant differences at the level of (α = 0.05 ) responses to the sample on the availability of procedural methods depending on the variable college and in favor of colleges humanity, and the lack of differences statistically significant due to sex, place of residence, the school level. The study recommended the design of training programs for faculty members and those who have direct contact with students example psychologists and social workers to activate the role of the direction and guidance in modifying the behavior of students and reinforce the authority of the university administration and the application of the system of accountability and rejection of the policy of favoritism and give certificates of appreciation for outstanding students behaviorally Student violence understand.
