Abstract

   The current study aimed to identify the level of post-traumatic stress disorder in a sample of cancer patients in Benghazi, and to identify the differences due to (gender, age, marital status, educational level, number of children, duration of injury, type of disease, and treatment type). The research sample consists of (120) Patients and paients diagnosed with cancer, data was collected by the PTSD scale (Tedachi and Calehon 1996). The results of the research found that the level of PTSD among patients is high and there were no significant differences due to (gender, age, marital status, duration of injury, type of illness, economic level, number of children,) also showed significant differences due to the treatment type.
