The praise In the poetry of Al-Qutami
This study revolves around the praise in the poetry of Al-Qutami, an Umayyad poet. Although he did not achieve as much fame as his fellows did at the time, he was acclaimed by ancient critics and recent scholars. Praise was actually occupied a significant part of his poetry. As he had the expertise to inspire generosity, he praised important leading figures in order to achieve certain goals. However, he also praised people for whatever personal quality they actually had. In fact that he Knew the specifications and traditions that were used in praising the caliphs and emirs. Nonetheless; he confined himself to the ancient poetic specifications that followed by his predecessors, and he also contented himself with methods of repeating meanings that were raised by them with very little modernization.
It is noted that his praise can be divided into three parts:
The first : Released by the dedication stems from a sincere heart full of fulfillment and gratefulness,
And the other : Intended for gifts and generous donations,
And last : Aimed at serving tribalism
