Islamic wooden doors, industry and decoration techniques

Abstract

Islamic artist interested  in manufacturing and decorating wood doors. Wood doors had beautiful and accurate design. They made them as  antiques . In this research we will study first, the uses and the types of doors in Islamic period. Second, explaining the way of making and decorating wood doors from Umayyad  period until the ottoman period by  using available sources and examples of  Islamic doors in Arabic and global museums. it  is useful study for researchers and students of archeologist and Islamic designers
