Abstract

Consistency in the story of the mirrors of Venice by Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Faqih With the multiplicity of European schools, and the criticism we inherited, it was necessary for us to leave the sentimental and historical criticism, and start the criticism of the text from the text as it was, the early Arabs studying, and receive what the new European criticism produced in terms of approaches that look at the text from the inside, and criticism There are many aspects of consideration in the study of literary texts, their criticism, and their description as well, where the Arab creators wrote their novels and short stories, imitating the curriculum and the Western style, and with the development of modern approaches, the interest in studying the linguistics of the text ,And the search in the text as the highest linguistic unit, accordingly, this study will discover the textual consistency in the story of “Mirrors of Venice” by Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Faqih, which will address how the words are interconnected and consistent in the story, through the most important types of consistency, which is grammatical and lexical consistency, and the study has tried to reveal the referral , substitution,
repetition, coherence, and their application to the story, highlighting the importance of the topic in revealing the types of grammatical and lexical consistency in the text of the story, in addition to the lack of interest in textual consistency, and the scarcity of its study in the story, and this was the reason for choosing the subject of the study, and the study aims to identify textual consistency And his role in building the fictional text, and revealing the most important types of consistency in the story of the mirrors of Venice. As for previous studies, I did not find anyone study of modern linguistics, especially textual consistency in the fictional text. In the texts and their consistency, in addition to the analytical descriptive approach, and the study will be completed in a research consisting of an introduction and two chapters: the first chapter will be about the grammatical consistency in a story Mirrors of Venice, the second will include lexical consistency in it, and a conclusion containing the results of the study.
