Attempts to bring rhetoric and stylistics closer together

Abstract

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and peace and blessings be upon the best of those chosen and sent, with an eloquent and miraculous Arabic tongue.
This is a summary of a study titled:
“Attempts to Bridge Rhetoric and Stylistics”
Study Objectives:
The study examines the serious attempts made by modern critics to bridge the gap between rhetoric and stylistics. These efforts aim to present rhetoric in its renewed form, envisioned by contemporary critics as an alternative to Western stylistics and as an equivalent science with an Arabic reference, providing a suitable methodology for analyzing Arabic literary texts.
Research Problem:
-The research problem can be framed in the following question:
-Can the new rhetoric, as defined by modern Arab researchers and critics, replace stylistics?

There are numerous previous studies, including:

Study Structure:
The study is organized into five main sections:
-Introduction: An overview of the initial calls for renewal in rhetorical studies.
-First Section: The attempt of Abdel Salam Al-Masdi.
-Second Section: The attempt of Tammam Hassan.
-Third Section: The attempt of Hammadi Sammoud.
-Fourth Section: The attempts of Shukri Ayad and Mohammed Abdel-Muttalib.
-Fifth Section: The attempt of Mohammed Al-Omari.
-The study concludes with a summary of the findings, followed by a list of sources and references.
-The study adopted the descriptive comparative approach.
